Twilight

The visions dancing in my mind
The early dawn, the shades of time
Twilight crawling through my windowpane
Am I awake or do I dream?
The strangest pictures I have seen
Night is day and twilight’s gone away

With your head held high and your scarlet lies
You came down to me from the open skies
It’s either real or it’s a dream
There’s nothing that is in between…

CHORUS:
Twilight, I only meant to stay awhile
Twilight, I gave you time to steal my mind
Away from me.

Across the night I saw your face
You disappeared without a trace
You brought me here, but can you take me back?
Inside the image of your light
That now is day and once was night
You lead me here and then you go away.

REPEAT CHORUS

(You brought me here, but can you take me back again?)

With your head held high and your scarlet lies
You came down to me from the open skies

REPEAT CHORUS

Twilight, I only meant to stay awhile
Twilight, I only meant to stay awhile
Twilight, Twilight, Twilight, Twilight

Do ya (Éste Jeff Lynne sabe cómo hacer una entrada)

Do ya

In this life I’ve seen everything I can see woman,
I’ve seen lovers flying through the air hand in hand
I’ve seen babies dancing in the midnight sun,
And I’ve seen dreams that came from the heavenly skies above
I’ve seen old men crying at their own grave site
And I’ve seen pigs all sitting watching, picture slides
But I never seen nothing like you.

CHORUS
Do ya do ya want my love, woman
Do ya do ya want my face, I need it
Do ya do ya want my mind, I’m sayin’
Do ya do ya want my love

Well I, heard the crowd singin’ out of tune,
As they, sat and sang Auld Lang Syne by the light of the moon
I heard the preachers bangin’ on the drums,
And I heard the police playin’ with their guns
But I never heard nothin’ like you.

In the country where the sky touches down
On the field, she lay her down to rest
In the morning sun,
They come a ‘runnin’ just to get a look, just to
Feel, to touch her long black hair they don’t give a damn

CHORUS — repeat

Well I think you know what I’m trying to say to you woman,
That is I’d like to save you for a rainy day,
I’ve seen enough of the world to know,
That I’ve got to get it all to get it all to grow.

CHORUS
Do ya do ya want my love, c’mon now
Do ya do ya want my face, I need it
Do ya do ya want my mind, alright now
Do ya do ya want my love, ahhhhm look out!

Do ya do ya want my love,
Do ya do ya want my love, ohhhh-ohhhh

Confusion (Un temazo, sin duda)

Confusion

Everywhere the sun is shining.
All around the world it’s shining.
But cold winds blow across your mind.
Confusion–it’s such a terrible shame.
Confusion–you don’t know what you’re sayin’.
You’ve lost your love and you just can’t carry on.
You feel there’s no-one there for you to lean on.

Every night you’re out there darlin’.
You’re always out there runnin’.
And I see that lost look in your eyes.
Confusion,I don’t know what I should do.
Confusion,I leave it all up to you.
You’ve lost your love and you just can’t carry on.
You feel there’s no-one there for you to lean on.

Dark is the road you wander.
And as you stand there under.
The starry sky,you feel sad inside.
Confusion, you know it’s drivin’ me wild.
Confusion,it comes as no big surprise.
You’ve lost your love and you just can’t carry on.
You feel there’s no-one there for you to lean on.

Secret Messages

Secret Messages

A moving stream of information
That is floating on the wind
The secrets never end
And now they call,
They sing, they play, they dance
For you, from out of the blue,
What can you do?

Chorus: the secret messages are calling to me endlessly
They call to me across the air
The messages across the atmosphere
They whisper in your ear, they’re calling everywhere

Where words cascade like rainbows tumbling from the sky
Then I’ll be there, I’ll be there
When messages will call to you their secrets all around
Without a sound, they’re all around

Chorus

Those secret messages that spill into the air from far away
So far away
A flowing river of illusion running with confusion
Never gone – it goes on and on

Sailin’ away on the crest of a wave
It’s like magic
Oh rollin’ and ridin’,slippin’ & sliding
It’s magic

CHORUS
And you, and your sweet desire,
You took me, ohhh higher and higher baby,
It’s a livin’ thing,
It’s a terrible thing to lose
It’s a given thing
What a terrible thing to lose.

Making believe this is what you’ve conceived
From your worst day, I’m takin a dive
Oh moving in line when you look back in time
To the first day, I’m taken I’m taken

And you and your sweet desire,
you took me ohh, higher and higher baby
It’s a living thing,
It’s a terrible thing to lose,
It’s a given thing
What a terrible thing to lose

I’m takin a dive. Off the stage. Hey!!

Takin’ a dive ‘cos you can’t halt the slide
Floating downstream, I’m takin a dive
Ah so let her go don’t start spoiling the show
It’s a bad dream, I’m takin’ , I’m takin’

And you and your sweet desire
Don’t you do it ,
You took me ohh higher and higher baby

It’s a livin’ thing,
It’s a terrible thing to lose
It’s a given thing
What a terrible thing to lose.(x2) I’m taking a dive,dive,dive,dive,dive off the slide,slide,slide,slide,slide oh yah,yah,yah,yah,yah off the slide,slide,slide.

Telephone Line

Hello. How are you?
Have you been alright, through all those lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely nights
That’s what I’d say. I’d tell you everything
If you’d pick up that telephone yeah yeah yeah

Hey. How you feelin?
Are you still the same?
Don’t you realize the things we did, we did, were all for real, not a dream?
I just can’t believe
They’ve all faded out of view yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

Doowop dooby doo doowop doowah doolang
Blue days black nights doowah doolang

I look into the sky, the love you need ain’t gonna see you through
And I wonder why the little things you planned ain’t coming true

Oh oh Telephone Line, give me some time, I’m living in twilight
Oh oh Telephone Line, give me some time, I’m living in twilight

Ok. So no one’s answering
Well can’t you just let it ring a little longer longer longer oh oh ooohhhhh
I’ll just sit tight through shadows of the night
And let it ring for evermore oh oh ooohhhhh yeah yeah yeah

Doowop dooby doo doowop doowah doolang
Blue days black nights doowah doolang

When I look into the sky, the love you need ain’t gonna see you through
And I wonder why the little things you planned ain’t coming true

Oh oh Telephone Line, give me some time, I’m living in twilight
Oh oh Telephone Line, give me some time, I’m living in twilight
Oh oh Telephone Line, give me some time, I’m living in twilight
Oh oh Telephone Line, give me some time, I’m living in twilight

Calling America, de sus últimos temazos

Calling America

(Somebody…)
Told her that there was a place like heaven
Across the water on a 747
Yeah, we’re living in
In a modern world.

And pretty soon she’s really got the notion
Of flying out across the big blue ocean
Yeah, we’re living in
In a modern world.

Talk is cheap on satellite
But all I get is (static!)
Information, I’m still here
Re-dial on automatic.

CHORUS:
Calling America (can’t get a message through)
Calling America (that’s what she said to do)
Calling America (that’s where she has to be)
Calling America (she left a number for me)
Calling America.

But I’m just talking to a satellite
Twenty thousand miles up in the sky each night
Yeah, we’re living in
In a modern world.

All I had to do was pick up the phone
I’m out in space, trying to talk to someone
Yeah, we’re living in
In a modern world.

She left a number I could call
But no one’s there, no one at all
There must be something going wrong
That number just rings on and on.

REPEAT CHORUS

Said she’d call when she’d been gone a while
Guess she’s missing me across the miles
Yeah, we’re living in
In a modern world.

REPEAT CHORUS

Calling America, Calling America
Calling America, Calling America…

Can´t get it out of my head (Mi preferida de la ELO)

Can´t get it out of my head

Midnight on the water.
I saw the ocean’s daughter.
Walking on a wave she came,
staring as she called my name.

And I can’t get it out of my head,
no, I can’t get it out of my head.
Now my old world is gone for dead
‘cos I can’t get it out of my head.

Breakdown on the shoreline,
can’t move, it’s an ebb tide.
Morning don’t get here tonight,
searching for her silver light.

And I can’t get it out of my head,
no, I can’t get it out of my head.
Now my old world is gone for dead
‘cos I can’t get it out of my head, no no.

Bank job in the city.
Robin Hood and William Tell and Ivanhoe and Lancelot, they don’t envy me.
Sitting till the sun goes down,
in dreams the world keeps going round and round.

And I can’t get it out of my head,
no, I can’t get it out of my head.
Now my old world is gone for dead
‘cos I can’t get it out of my head, no no.

No, I can’t get it out of my head,
no, I can’t get it out of my head.
Now my old world is gone for dead
‘cos I can’t get it out of my head, no no no no.

Camel (Echoes y Wing and a Prayer)

Enemigos La otra orilla (impresionante)
